Have you ever heard of Parent Pleasing?

Why am I always seeking validation from my Parents? Why don't they like me? How can I stop being a Parent- Pleaser?

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

Parent-pleasing doesn’t have to be a life sentence.  But it is a very common problem.  So, you might be wondering:   What makes a Parent-pleaser?

First of all, for those of you who don’t know People-pleasers often start off as parent pleasers.

What many Parent-pleasers don’t realize is that Parent-pleasing can have serious risks. Not only does it put a lot of pressure and stress on you, but “essentially you can make yourself sick from doing too much.” If you’re overcommitted, you probably get less sleep and get more anxious and upset. You’re also “depleting your energy resources.” “In the worst-case scenario, you’ll wake up and find yourself depressed, because you’re on such overload because you possibly can’t do it all.

In today’s episode of Liberate Your People Pleaser I’m going to dig deep and answer some very important questions regarding today’s subject.

Who is a Parent-Pleaser?

What makes a Parent- Pleaser?

How we can overcome this problem?

And obviously the most important questions:

Is there a direct relationship of being a Parent-Pleaser and a People-Pleaser?
