3 Steps to Getting Your Dream Into The World! 👣

Do you have a project, business or creative dream that you want to get into the world, but it just doesn't seem to be happening?

You might feel like you don't have the:

  • Time

  • Money

  • Strategy

  • Connections

  • Or some other elusive, magical thing that you aren't sure what it is, but you must not have it because this dream isn't going anywhere!

Don't let your dream get stalled!

I had a client hire me recently. She's had her online business for a couple of years.

She's very good at what she does and has had some success. She's taken lots of programs and worked with lots of really smart people to help her know how to build and grow her business.

Why did she hire me?

She needs a business coach, mentor, "get-it-done" accountability partner in her life!

I am a pro at getting things out in the world. Not to brag, but I always have been. This is one of those 10,000 hour things.

Maybe you've read Malcom Gladwell's book, Outliers: The Story of Success, he explains that the key to success in any field seems to be practicing a specific task for 10,000 hours.

I've definitely got 10,000+ hours of gettin-it-done and making-it-happen!

From raising a large family, mostly alone, to starting three businesses and running business for others.

In my own emotional and spiritual awakening I've probably spent 100,000 hours (not a typo) taking something from a concept or ideal, to something I am practicing, in a practical way, in my life.

I love people with ideas, dreams and visions of what they want to do in the world. But, not everyone is good at getting those visions, dreams and ideas out into the world.

That's okay. You don't have to be good at everything!

That's where I come in.

I coach people on how to get their specific project, business or dream out into the world.

This isn't a digital program, because these situations are unique and need a one-on-one strategy.

Three keys I'll offer to help you, right now, with your project, dream or vision:

1. Accept that you are a better visionary, and maybe even a great planner, but not as good at actually making it happen out in the world. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

2. Hire a coach or partner, like me, who has proven experience in "gettin-it-done." You don't want to risk hiring someone with a lot of ideas or concepts about how you "should" get-it-done. Make sure they've done it themselves. You don't want to hire someone who teaches what they can't do.

3. Be willing to do the work your coach gives you. Yes, you'll be uncomfortable at times. Yes, you'll get scared. That happens to all great people as they push their comfort zone farther and farther. You'll be alright. If I'm your coach, you can count on me to be beside you and help you through that discomfort. This is the hardest part. But, think about it, everyone you admire, has been in the same position. All the great ones pushed up against their comfort zone. They are great because they kept going!

I would be thrilled and honored to help you get your dream out in the world.

The world needs your dream. If you don't do it, no one else can.

Fear May Be Your Best Clue

Everything you want, that you don't have, will scare the shit out of you, if you take steps to bring it into your life.

It doesn't seem fair, but it's true.

The "safe" choices, won't scare you. Staying in the corporate job that sucks you dry, the marriage you are unhappy in, deciding not to trust anyone again, never getting back into the dating scene, not to starting your own business... need I go on?

When we "don't rock the boat" we stay safe.

You know what's scary?

Following your deepest desires. I like to call them yearnings.

Something you want soooo bad, you can taste it!

And, that's scary as hell!

You know, if you do it, if you follow it, things will happen that you can't predict.

You'll be smack dab in the center of "the unknown."

[Cue screaming]

What do you do?

How do you deal with the fear and follow your deepest desires?

Join me and my amazing co-host, Enolia Foti, for Cocktails and Coaching on Wednesday, August 28, at 5 pm Pacific and 8 pm Eastern. You'll hear how this New York City girl ended up being taught by the elders and grandmothers of indigenous cultures, and how she went from corporate America to healer. Her story is inspiring, and together, we'll unlock how fear can hold you back, or empower you!

Ask your question about fear, how the hell to actually follow your deepest desires, what it means to be a healer or anything else that's on your mind! Click here to submit your question.

Dream Killers!

I have had some serious dream killers in my life!

Maybe you can relate.

When I was young, I had dreams of a successful business, a great marriage, large loving family, a big house and a lot of traveling. By the time I was in my mid 40’s the only ones of those dreams I really had was the large loving family. I had traveled some, but not nearly as much as I wanted.

What did I do?

I started to give up.

I killed most of my dreams. Why?

I decided I wanted too much. I was getting older and I should be happy with the life I had! After all, I had a large loving family, a good job, I was reasonably happy being single, and an apartment I liked.

What a DREAM KILLER!

By deciding some of my dreams weren’t important and that I had missed my window, I was in my 40’s after all, I killed them. The good news is, they didn’t stay dead for long. I decided to take action and that’s what I want to help you do.

If you’ve ever killed a dream, I invite you to take my free Dream Killers Challenge. Take the quiz as a quick inventory of what your dream killers might look like. Then use the Dream Killers CPR Dreamsheet to breathe some life back into those dreams! Maybe you’ll be like me, and so many of my clients, who realize their dreams, as Billie Crystal said in The Princess Bride, are only “…mostly dead. And there’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead.”
